The BRCGS (EMEA and adjacent regions) Awards will recognize the outstanding commitment, support and performance of individuals and organisations who contribute to the development of the BRCGS Standards scheme and the wider food safety industry in the EMEA and adjacent regions markets.

  • BRCGS Consultant of the Year Award  

  • BRCGS Auditor of the Year - Individual Award  

  • BRCGS Certification Body of the Year Award  

  • BRCGS Certificated Site of the Year Award *This category is applicable to sites certificated against any of our Global Standards.  

  • BRCGS Professional on the Year 

 

SCHEDULE 

Nominations accepted up to and including 20th December 2024. Finalists will be notified week commencing 13th January 2025.  

 

PRIZES 

  • Finalists from each category will be honored during the BRCGS Connect Milan 2025 conference.  

  • For each award, there will be one winner, who will receive an award. 

  • The award winners will then receive 1 x complimentary registration to the subsequent year’s conference.  

  • The award winners will be also recognized via marketing by BRCGS. 

  • Free eLearning (courses to be determined by BRCGS)  

 

ENTRY SUBMISSION 

  • All nominations must be submitted by email in the requested format no later than 11:59 PM (GMT), 20th December 2024. Submissions should be sent to BRCGS.events@lgcgroup.com

     

  • All nominations must include the required evidence as outlined later in this document under the nomination criteria section. 

  • Incomplete submissions or those that do not follow the submission rules will not be considered. 

 

SCORING CRITERIA 

Entries will be scored on overall content and the nominee’s demonstrated achievements in: 

  • Contributing significantly to achieving the BRCGS Mission. 

  • Communicating the goals, mission and benefits of the BRCGS Standards scheme to both internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Proving his/her/their understanding and commitment to the BRCGS Standards scheme. 

  • Demonstrating an ongoing personal commitment to improving the awareness of food/product safety within the EMEA and adjacent regions market. 

 

RULES, ELIGIBILITY AND JUDGING PROCESS 

  • All nominators and nominees must be affiliated with the BRCGS Standards scheme. Examples of affiliations include, but are not limited to, registered auditors, consultants, approved training partners, licensed certification bodies and certificated suppliers. 

  • The entry form must accompany your nomination and all sections must be filled out legibly. Only fully complete, legible entries will be considered. 

  • Narratives must be 1,000 words or less. 

  • Nominators must obtain permission from the nominee prior to submitting a nomination. 

  • Self-nominations will be accepted. 

  • Specific evidence and supporting documentation must be included for all comments and accolades given by the nominator on behalf of the nominee. Examples of supporting documents include published articles, industry awards, news articles and third-party testimonials. These materials will not be returned to you. Videos will be accepted.  

  • Entries will be scored and judged by a panel. The panel’s decision is final, and no appeals will be considered. 

  • Finalists will be notified week commencing 13th January 2025. 

  • By submitting an entry to the awards, the nominee agrees to BRCGS and/or the judging panel investigating their reputation within the industry. This may be in the form of requesting references. 

  • All finalists must have representation available to attend to the awards ceremony during BRCGS Connect Milan 2025. 

 

AWARD CATEGORIES AND NOMINATION CRITERIA 

BRCGS Certification Body of the Year (EMEA and adjacent regions) 

Nominees must be a BRCGS approved certification body, valued by stakeholders, showing ongoing and dedicated support for the Global Standards programmes. The Certification Body shall be able to demonstrate that they help stakeholders to implement and achieve BRCGS certification. The winner will have a 5-star KPIs rating.

BRCGS Auditor of the Year – Individual (EMEA and adjacent regions) 
Nominees, as BRCGS registered auditors, have shown ongoing and dedicated support for the BRCGS Standards programme  and their stakeholders.

BRCGS Approved Training Partner of the Year (EMEA and adjacent regions) 

Nominees must show ongoing and dedicated support for the BRCGS programme and implementing excellent quality BRCGS training or helping stakeholders to implement and achieve BRCGS certification.

BRCGS Consultant of the Year Award (EMEA and adjacent regions) 

Nominees must show ongoing and dedicated support for the BRCGS programme and implementing excellent quality consulting or helping stakeholders to implement and achieve BRCGS certification.

BRCGS Certificated Site of the Year (serving the EMEA and adjacent regions market)  

Awarded to a BRCGS certificated site* that has demonstrated excellence in developing and maintaining their BRCGS programme, promoted BRCGS certification, and used BRCGS certification to enhance or grow their operations.

BRCGS Professional on the Year (serving the EMEA and adjacent regions market) 

Awarded to a BRCGS Professional member who can demonstrate how they’ve applied the training embedded in the scheme to benefit themselves, their company and their colleagues. All evidence must be from 2024/25.
